Connect assets. Understand operations. Automate action.
PEXIVA designs and delivers secure IoT solutions across devices, edge, cloud, data, AI, and enterprise applications—from opportunity assessment and PoC through production deployment and managed operations.
Turn physical assets and operational data into measurable improvements in uptime, energy use, asset visibility, process speed, safety, customer experience, and cost-to-serve.
What connected operations should change.
Every engagement is scoped against an operational or commercial outcome — not against a device count.
- Increase asset uptime
- Improve operational visibility
- Reduce energy and resource waste
- Automate alerts and workflows
- Strengthen safety and compliance
- Create connected customer services
Outcomes are the goals an engagement is scoped against. Targets are agreed with you before kickoff and measured against your baseline — they are not guaranteed results.
Ten problems we design around from day one.
Most IoT programs do not fail on technology. They fail on integration, security, cost, ownership and proof of value.
Pilots that never reach production
A proof of concept works on ten devices in one building, then stalls on security review, cost, support ownership or integration.
Disconnected devices and protocols
Equipment from different decades and vendors speaks Modbus, OPC UA, BACnet, MQTT or something proprietary — and nothing shares a data model.
Fragmented operational and enterprise data
Telemetry sits in historians and vendor portals while work orders, assets and customers live in ERP, EAM and CRM.
Unreliable connectivity
Remote sites, moving assets and congested plant networks drop data unless buffering and store-and-forward are designed in.
Security and device-identity gaps
Shared credentials, unpatched firmware and flat networks make every connected device a potential entry point.
Legacy PLC, SCADA and equipment integration
Valuable signals are locked in control systems that cannot be modified casually and must keep running.
Uncontrolled cloud and data costs
High-frequency telemetry, retained forever, quietly becomes one of the larger lines on the cloud bill.
Missing observability and support models
Nobody can say which devices are offline, why, or who is responsible for fixing them at 6 a.m. on a Sunday.
No clear ownership across IT and OT
Operations owns the equipment, IT owns the network and cloud, and the connected solution falls between them.
Difficulty proving business value
Without a baseline and an agreed KPI, a technically successful pilot still cannot win production funding.
One practice, device to decision.

Six reusable starting points.
Solution accelerators are PEXIVA reference solutions and illustrative architectures — reusable starting points, not descriptions of specific client deployments.
Connected Asset Monitoring
- Business problem
- Critical equipment is checked manually or only after it fails, so problems surface late and expensively.
- PEXIVA approach
- Instrument priority assets, stream condition data to a governed platform, and route threshold and anomaly alerts into the tools technicians already use.
- Typical deliverables
- Asset prioritization, sensor and gateway specification (with partners), telemetry pipeline, alerting rules, operator dashboard.
- Suitable industries
- Manufacturing, energy and utilities, facilities, telecom infrastructure.
Predictive Maintenance
- Business problem
- Fixed-interval maintenance replaces healthy parts and still misses failures between visits.
- PEXIVA approach
- Combine condition telemetry with maintenance history to detect degradation patterns, then create prioritized work orders in your EAM or CMMS.
- Typical deliverables
- Data-readiness review, feature pipeline, anomaly or failure-risk models, CMMS integration, model monitoring.
- Suitable industries
- Manufacturing, logistics fleets, energy and utilities, building services.
Smart Energy and Facilities
- Business problem
- Energy, HVAC and occupancy data sits in separate building systems, so waste is invisible until the utility bill arrives.
- PEXIVA approach
- Integrate building management, metering and environmental sensors into one portfolio view with rules for alerts, scheduling and reporting.
- Typical deliverables
- BMS and meter integration design, normalized building data model, energy and comfort dashboards, alert workflows.
- Suitable industries
- Hospitality, real estate, healthcare facilities, campuses.
Asset Tracking and Cold Chain
- Business problem
- Teams cannot see where high-value or temperature-sensitive assets are, or prove the conditions they were kept in.
- PEXIVA approach
- Choose tracking and environmental sensing suited to the route, then build exception alerting, chain-of-custody records and reporting.
- Typical deliverables
- Tracking technology assessment, device and connectivity selection (with partners), event model, excursion alerting, audit-ready reporting.
- Suitable industries
- Logistics, food and pharmaceutical distribution, healthcare, field equipment.
Industrial Edge-to-Cloud Monitoring
- Business problem
- Plant data is trapped in historians and SCADA screens and cannot be combined across lines or sites.
- PEXIVA approach
- Read from existing control systems through edge gateways without modifying control logic, contextualize the data, and publish it to a cloud data platform.
- Typical deliverables
- OT data-access design reviewed with your controls team, edge deployment pattern, contextual data model, cross-site dashboards.
- Suitable industries
- Discrete and process manufacturing, utilities, water.
Connected Healthcare Operations
- Business problem
- Equipment location, cold-storage conditions and facility alarms are monitored through separate tools and manual rounds.
- PEXIVA approach
- Build secure telemetry and alerting for non-clinical operational assets and integrate it with facilities and service workflows.
- Typical deliverables
- Use-case and risk assessment, segmented network and data design, monitoring dashboards, escalation workflows.
- Suitable industries
- Hospitals, clinics, laboratories, pharmacy and biobank storage.

Security is a lifecycle, not a checkbox.
An IoT solution is not secure because it runs on a major cloud platform. Cloud providers secure their infrastructure; the device fleet, its credentials, its update process and the networks it touches remain your responsibility — and ours, when we design and run it.
PEXIVA treats IoT security as a lifecycle discipline: from the questions asked before a device is purchased, through unique identity at provisioning and signed updates in the field, to revoking credentials and wiping data when the device is retired.
The connected-device lifecycle
Controls are planned for every stage:
- Procurement
- Provisioning
- Identity
- Configuration
- Data protection
- Access control
- Software updates
- Monitoring
- Support
- Incident response
- Decommissioning
Start small. Scale on evidence.
